BHCLT is celebrating the 2025 UN Year of Cooperatives with our very own housing co-op tour. This is a great opportunity to see first-hand what co-operative living in our city looks like and to support the work of BHCLT to grow community led housing in B&H.
Our afternoon tour takes place on June 14th from 12.45 – 5pm. We'll start at Two Piers Housing Co-op, Christchurch, Montpelier Road and finish at the Old Steine. On the guided minibus tour, you'll visit:
Two Piers - Brighton’s largest and oldest housing coop with a purpose-build block of flats.
Rosa Bridge Housing Co-operative – A queer, feminist co-op offering inclusive, affordable housing for those often excluded from the market.
Bunker Housing Co-operative – A self-build co-op transforming small plots into sustainable, family-friendly homes.
SEASALT Housing Co-operative – A student-led co-op providing affordable, democratic homes for Brighton’s student community.
Out of Town (OOT) – A long-standing co-op rooted in mutual care, affordability, and collective ownership.
Because stairs are present in all coops, the tour is unfortunately not wheel-chair accessible.
When you RSVP, it will take you to the page to buy your ticket. Ticket prices are £5 for a concession/low-income ticket, and £8 for a regular ticket. You can make an additional donation on top of your ticket price to support our work to bring more housing co-ops to the city.
